The Parlilo method

Every activity builds towards speaking.

A clear path through the same situation, from getting ready to having the conversation.

  1. 01Prepare

    Start with useful words

Meet the words and phrases for ordering at a café in your target language. Listen to how they sound.

  2. 02Practise

    Build your reply

Work through a guided exchange: greet the barista, choose your order and close the conversation.

  3. 03Speak

    Put it into conversation

Try the situation with an AI character. Listen, respond and use hints or translations when you need help.

  4. 04Review

    Know what to practise next

Review your task completion and language feedback, then return to the words and situations that need practice.

Inside a lesson · Spanish

A small situation.
Something you can use.

It is the morning rush at a neighbourhood café in Madrid. At the counter, you will order coffee and a chocolate croissant, ask where the sugar is, and finish politely.

A phrase to get you started

Un café, por favor. ¿Me pone también un cruasán de chocolate?

A coffee, please. Could I have a chocolate croissant too?

Prepare the words, work through the guided exchange, then try speaking with the barista yourself.
